Peccary is one of the most luxurious and softest leathers in the world. As a characteristic grain pattern, it has a pattern of three small pores sitting in a row. It is considered the ideal glove leather because it is very supple, durable and warm and does not restrict the sense of touch or the mobility of the fingers.

Peccaries are small wild South American boars that are only about 90 - 130 centimetres long and weigh between 20 and 40 kilograms. Peccaries are found in Central and South America as well as in the southwest of North America. The aromatic peccary meat is considered tasty and is a popular traditional food source in the region. The pigs live in the wild. Therefore, the leather often has small scars, which are considered a sign of authenticity. The hunting of peccaries is subject to strict CITES regulations, which regulate the trade and ensure that the animals are not over-hunted. The sustainable production and limited availability makes the leather even more valuable.

A peccary glove from our manufactory is sewn by hand with up to 2,000 stitches. The durability and the soft feel at the same time make a glove made of peccary leather a popular companion of the highest quality.
